Khandwa rape murder case (Social media)
National News: An incident that shook humanity. This news from the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh is not just about the death of a woman but is a mirror for our society and security system. This night, which started with a wedding ceremony, eventually turned into such a morning where a woman's dead body was found with her intestines out and deep marks of injuries. Her body gave up, yet her eyes may have held a silent plea for help till the final moment
On the evening of May 23, a woman goes to a wedding ceremony with two acquaintances from the same village - Hari and Sunil. The celebration turned grim as alcohol loosened tongues and trust was broken during casual talks. By the end of the night, these became the same people at whose hands she lost her honor and then her life.
After the wedding, the woman reaches Hari's house. Sunil also comes there. All three drink alcohol. Police suspect that everything was pre-planned. First the woman was exploited in a drunken state, then she was beaten to death. The impact to her abdomen was so brutal that it caused her intestines to protrude.
The woman did not return home at night. The son started looking for her. A neighbor told that she was lying in Hari's courtyard. On reaching there, the son saw that his mother was unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she took only two "names"—"Hari and Sunil." These were the same names with whom she had gone to the wedding.
Dr. Seema Sute, who was in the PM panel, said that the condition of the dead body was very serious. The intestines were out. This could not be the result of just beating but of deep trauma to the internal organs. However, the police have denied the possibility of the uterus coming out. All attention now turns to the post-mortem report.
Hari and Sunil are from the same village. The woman knew them. This incident is not just a rape or murder of a woman; it is proof of the failure of our social structure, where no one is safe, not even in our own village.
The police have arrested both of the accused. A case has been registered under Sections 376 and 302. There is mourning in the village. People are silent, fearing that someone else might become the next victim. But now there is a need to raise a voice, to question, and to wake up the system, which comes into action only after incidents.
